Description
BYU Opera presents a concert performance of scenes from two operas by composer Lisa DeSpain and librettist Rachel J. Peters following a week’s workshop:
Staggerwing tells the story of female pilots Louise Thaden and Blanche Noyes, who won the Bendix Trophy Air Race in 1936. Men I'm Not Married To, based on a story by Dorothy Parker, follows the conversation of three bridesmaids in a ladies' lounge in the 1920s. Admission is free.
