Joan Nahid is an Iranian writer, actor, and voice artist based in Chicago. She is a graduate of the University of Tehran with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering, and an MFA in Theatre and dramatic literature. After moving to the United States, she continued her acting and physical theatre training at Vagabond School of Art, Green Room Studio, and The Second City, where she graduated from the acting lab conservatory. Joan has also appeared in Miss Julie, A Doll’s House, and Life x 3 in Tehran. She is a proud ensemble member at Trap Door Theatre.
Joan is a published fiction writer and her short fiction/plays are getting translated into English. She speaks fluent Farsi, English, and French and some Italian and Arabic. She has performed in Three languages (English, Farsi, and Arabic) in Chicago.
