Wintergreen Music is host to the Wintergreen Music Festival, a month-long summer music festival in the Blue Ridge Mountains with concerts, seminars, and events held at Wintergreen Resort and neighboring wineries, cideries, breweries, and venues. The Festival features symphonic, bluegrass, jazz, chamber music, and more!
The LEAD Cooperative, Wintergreen Music's educational initiative, is an innovative, cross-disciplinary chamber music curriculum crafted from Wintergreen Music’s rich history of supportive music education with much-needed training for today’s musicians. It offers limited space in instrumental studies, vocal studies, collaborative piano, composition, conducting, and arts administration for students ages 18+ to provide students the opportunity to work closely with one another and maximize time with our outstanding faculty.
Tuition to the LEAD Co-op is FREE, thanks to the generous support of donors and granting organizations! Visit wintergreenmusic.org for program specific information, including application requirements, faculty listings, and more.
MountainTop Masterworks I: Barber Violin Concerto with Elisabeth Adkins

Description
From Beethoven’s contemporary Emilie Meyer to Wintergreen’s own Elisabeth Adkins and Erin Freeman, we honor the rich contributions that women have made to the music world. With a special performance of the beautiful Chorale for Strings by the late Ukrainian composer Hanna Havrylets and the sweepingly beautiful Barber Violin Concerto, this concert is as rich in historical interest as it is in artistic inspiration.
